Panache Exterior Design

A BACHELOR PAD

These photos show the transformation of the backyard of a bachelor client.  The project included a tiered stone retaining wall, a waterfall, addition of a wood deck, planting flower beds along the fence at the back of the yard.

Click on each photo for a larger view.

◄ The client's yard had a deteriorating railroad tie retaining wall, & not much else.  Grass, but no plants, no color, no real personality.

► Panache Exterior Design replaced the railroad tie wall with a 2-tiered stone wall, added a waterfall & a wooden deck, & brought in plants that add natural charm to the setting.

The "Before" photo.

After the transformation.

Closer view of the stone wall. Note the mix of brick & stone.

The steps from above.

Plantings in the yard above the wall.

The great thing about landscape design is that it gets better with age.  As plantings mature, they fill in, & bloom more profusely.

Panache Exterior Design always make sure its clients know how to care for their new outdoor space.

► The following photos are from the second year of this project.

From the back property line.  Plants in the wall bed will be visible when they have a chance to grow.

The wall bed fills in. Note the plantings against the fence on the upper level in the back.

Another view.  Note the wood has "weathered" to a more natural look.

Note how the color from the flowers now rises above the wall so it's visible from the upper part of the yard.

A closer look at the waterfall in the wall flower bed.
